Let us tell you a bit about it...

Welcome! We’re the founders of Feeels Co, Cam (πŸ‘‹ hey, that’s me) and Rach, and our genesis lies in the intersection of our values, lived experience and different professional knowledge, inspired by a problem we felt needed solving.

Back then we worked separately, myself as a clinical social worker providing counselling to young people, while Rach ran design and creative at a tech start up. At that time all too often educational materials I located for clients were met by indifference. Dated images, complex language, and vague homework tasks were rife, and perhaps unsurprisingly, few ever made it back.

One day I mentioned this to Rach. In a world of advertising, bright lights and abundant psychology-influenced marketing, it seemed odd to us both that the tools I was using to support and inform young people scarcely considered the value of engaging and motivating them also.

Not long after that we created our first resource. Over the next 18 months of research, design and iteration, Feeels morphed into the website and products you see before you, with dozens of resources informed by our guiding principles. Now we continue to weave shade and light into an imagined, science-informed world that tackles the issues and ideas of today.

Our resources are all black and white, which is both practical and affordable for simple at-home production, but also has become our aesthetic signature. Central to our ethos is the imperative of prosocial modelling, environmental stewardship, and an empowering approach. Feeels products blend compassion with creativity and professionalism, and we plan to continue to support young people and the individuals they work with for as long as you’ll have us.

We Make Award Winning Therapy Resources.

Our Feeels Co Launch collection of nine printable session kits won a rare 'Highly Commended' from the judges in the 2024 Victorian Premiers Design Awards. Our mission to build better therapy tools utilising best-in-class design approaches was recognised in the category of Communication Design.

  • ✨ Empowerment

Inspired by strengths based practice and humanistic principles, our ethos involves empowering practitioners and young clients to develop knowledge and connection. Characters in the Feeels universe reflect the dignity and challenges of growth while aiming to convey complex ideas simply. Being just two individuals in a diverse global landscape marked by structural inequality, we welcome any feedback that helps make our resources more inclusive, effective, or engaging. We pledge when possible and appropriate to our brand ethos, to use this feedback to do so.

  • 🌱 Ethics

Our values are our North star. An early aim of ours was to consider the impact of climate anxiety among youth alongside the need we saw for broadly accessible physical resources for use in session. This resulted in our signature format, with resources designed for at-home printing by you, minimising shipping emissions, needless transport and factory or personal waste. Any physical products we do create in future will always prioritise ethical, local distributors with transparent values themselves.

We donate a portion of sales to charities aligned with our focus on youth mental health, and aim to expand on this as we grow. We also hope to produce wholly digital versions of resources to support practitioners who deliver services online, and reduce waste further still.

  • 🐝 Ecosystem

It is only fitting when working with young people to consider their ecologies. Our resources contemplate relationships β€”between self and self, self and others, and self and emotionsβ€” as an ode to the work of Sue Johnson. We playfully mirror real world processes within our own ecosystem, where characters interactions aim to evoke the imaginations of young people. Balancing analysis with creativity and emotion, we endeavour to encourage left and right brain processing both. Paying deference to the unique perspectives and experiences of youth, simple design offers blank canvasses for people to project themselves onto.
